Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Foot Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Assist with monitoring entrances, lobbies, and/or restricted areas, helping to manage visitor activity and support an orderly environment for daily operations.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or security-related activities in a clear and timely manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• This position is located in a hospital setting and may involve work in or around the morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
