• Two years experience in echocardiography preferred, or 1 year with completion of formal training program.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment, as it relates to cardiology.
• Ability to recognize cardiac wave patterns (EKG's) and detect abnormalities.
• RDCS or RCS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team, recognizing the special nature of cardiac ultrasound examinations and patient's needs. 
•  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team. 
• Must be able to perform testing on neonate, pediatric and adults.
