Your new role and responsibilities

At Finance Business Advice, we’re not your typical finance team. We’re the strategic advisors and financial conscience of ING’s domestic bank in the Netherlands – and we’re looking for fresh talent to join us.
Right now, we’re on the lookout for a Financial Business Partner to support our COO & Tech departments – the engines behind ING’s operations and digital innovation. From streamlining processes to driving cutting-edge tech initiatives, these teams are the core of how we deliver value to millions of customers.
As a business partner, you won’t just crunch numbers – You’ll challenge ideas, influence decisions, and help shape strategy. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholder, dive into complex financials, and translate data into actionable insights that drive real change. But in general you can expect to pursue the following tasks:
- Provide financial result presentations, analyses and advice to relevant stakeholders:
- Ensure high quality, first time right deliverables;
- Actively develop relationships with your business partners and act as a trusted advisor by supporting the leads with strategic analysis to steer the business;
- Proactively look for ways to improve the content and format, keeping it relevant in the current fast-changing environment.
- Be involved in the overall budgeting and forecasting process:
- Be responsible for providing accurate forward looking financial plans for a broad range cost drivers;
- Play a strong role in challenging and aligning with stakeholders on financial developments within their respective domains;
- Analyze actuals and derive action points.
- Play an active role in the FBA department:
- Work on overarching projects which cover the full bank (e.g. cost allocation);
- Closely collaborate with FBA colleagues on your domains;
- Actively work and think along in the team to look for possible efficiencies in our processes and to improve business relevant insights.

Furthermore, you have:
- Current residency in the Netherlands
- A financial Master degree;
- Experience in a financial advice position within a bank is preferred;
- Experience in translating complex data into independent, strategic and sound advice to senior management;
- Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills;
- A sincere interest in banking and a curious attitude in market developments;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English, Dutch is a strong benefit
- Ability to quickly switch between detailed topics;
- Analytical, client driven, proactive and have an innovative mindset, striving for continuous improvement.
