Automation EngineerLocation: CheshireSalary: Up to £65,000 (DOE) + car allowanceSkills: Automation (SIEMENS), PLC, SCADA, HMII am currently supporting an Industrial Automation organisation help recruit an Automation Engineer. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects from concept through to commissioning, collaborating with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop cutting edge control systems and automation solutions.The RoleAs an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering automation projects throughout their full lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through to testing, commissioning, and ongoing support.Key responsibilities include:Analysing customer requirements and developing Functional Design Specifications (FDS)Designing and programming PLC control systems and HMI/SCADA visualisation solutionsIntegrating PLC systems with higher-level manufacturing and business systemsConducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer demonstrationsSupporting Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and start-up activitiesProducing technical documentation, operating procedures, and training materialsProviding post-project support and troubleshooting assistanceWorking closely with project teams and customers to ensure successful project deliveryYour Experience:A Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related disciplinePrevious experience in an automation engineering position (SIEMENS, Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, PCS 7)Strong PLC programming and HMI development skillsBeneficial – Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet
