THE OPPORTUNITY – AIR LOGISTICS PLANNER (CONTRACT ROLE)
This role is responsible for Spirit Energy’s NL aviation logistics coordination and management of aviation activities across the business.
The jobholder is responsible for scheduling personnel for offshore travel, liaising internally, externally and with 3rd party vendors and contractors to ensure that Company contracted aviation resources are utilised in an optimum manner.
As part of the Supply Chain Department the Aviation Logistics Coordinator reports to the Logistics focal point NL and will manage the aviation logistics function supporting all NL operations ensuring compliance to the Company Aviation Standard and NL IL&T / NOGEPA standard 100 Aviation standards.
The jobholder is responsible for scheduling personnel for offshore travel, liaising internally (Drilling Team, Assets Team & Projects Team), externally and with 3rd party vendors and contractors to ensure that Company contracted aviation resources are utilised in an optimum and the most efficient manner.
The role is to promote synergies in Aviation Logistics internally at Spirit Energy between business units and externally with Spirit Energy aviation consortium members to achieve the most efficient and cost effective aviation logistics model.
In addition, the Aviation Logistics Coordinator shall provide support to the Logistics Team in minimising risk and optimising value in NUI intervention crew and offshore vessel schedule.
CONTRACT DURATION – 6 months – may be extended
LOCATION – Hoofddorp office – 3 days in the office 2 days at home
RATE – 29-36 euros per hour depending on experience (7.5 hour days)

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be accountable for:
- Plan helicopter logistics and offshore POB, schedule Company and 3rd party aviation resources, and administer internal and vendor/contractor allocations according to requests from relevant departments and in line with company requirements.
- Contact vendors for planning purposes and allocate offshore technicians to platforms and satellites as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
- Verify scheduled crew changes and check flight allocations, make and communicate improvements and propose schedule changes, given required flight frequency and possible time scheduling, in order to ensure a cost efficient scheduling of helicopters.
- Registering flight allocation details, check and administer validity of medical and basic offshore training for vendors in line with company procedures and system requirements.
- Actively engage with wider Logistics team to ensure that knowledge sharing takes part to further enhance the Logistics process and procedures.
- Actively engage on daily basis with wider Ops team to ensure vendor call out versus planned work have been arranged and rescheduled work offshore is properly administered so helicopter Logistics planning up to date.
- Participate in daily morning call to discuss flight schedule and POB requirement
- Arrange Hotel and taxi bookings to facilitate NUI crew overnight stays on shore.
- Participate in On-call Duty Rota for the Logistics Team to support weekend activities.
- Manage the allocation of aviation logistics costs to correct cost centres
- Participate in industry workgroups (CHC Helicopter consortium, NOGEPA, , ALC, etc) and CHC steering committee as required.
- Inform and issue appropriate training and functional guidance to operations groups offshore and Vendors to ensure compliance with the Company Aviation standards.
- Company Vantage Admin - updating personal and certification details in Vantage.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role at similar fast pace
- A good understanding of Offshore working
- Will have good English speaking and writing skills as and English speaking company
- Excellent, Excel, Outlook and Spreadsheet skills
- The job holder should demonstrate a good understanding on maximising the utilisation of helicopter by sharing seats and payload as much as possible and or practicable, appropriate legislation, best practise and guidelines.
- The job holder should demonstrate a strong focus on HSE, ethics and upholding Company values.
- Good understanding of appropriate legislation, best practise and guidelines.
- Good understanding of Company Supply Chain Procedures

- Admin Training for Vantage sytem.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong IT Skills and detailed knowledge/experience in a variety of MS office applications and Vantage etc.
- Competent user of business systems, SAP, MS Office and Logistics Systems planning systems
