Student/Peer Tutor (Continuous Posting)

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN OPEN POOL POSTING. WE MAY OR MAY NOT BE HIRING FOR THIS POSITION AT THIS TIME. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY THE HIRING MANAGER IF SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW.

The tutor's goal is to empower, enable, encourage, and assist students in a specific subject, investigate and determine areas of weakness, and develop/share supportive strategies with the student. The tutor will maintain clear and concise records of each meeting and complete and submit an accurate and detailed report each month. 

• Essential Functions
  • Assisting students in understanding concepts in qualified subject.
  • Addressing areas of concern.
  • Focusing students on the task at hand.
  • Maintaining records of each meeting, and completing monthly reports.
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate and/or necessary by the Tutoring Center Coordinator. 

Qualifications 

Currently enrolled SCC student, in good academic standing.
