Job Overview
The Campaign Senior Director, Arts Programs is a high-level strategic and front-line fundraising lead responsible for the design, execution, and success of a major capital campaign. This role manages the full donor lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying a pipeline of new major gift prospects to executing the "path to close" for naming, transformational, and major gifts (6- and 7-figure) within a $500 million campaign. The Director serves as the principal architect of the campaign roadmap, overseeing the development of gift range charts, case statements, and the activation of the Founding Board of Directors. The Director will support front-line fundraising teams and efforts, as needed, particularly with lead gifts. This role includes full accountability for ensuring the team stays aligned with the overall timeline in executing campaign initiatives, maintaining Campaign KPIs, including the donor pipeline, and the integration of individual major donors, foundations, and annual fund donors into the Campaign.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced degree in Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising within or consulting to high-profile cultural or arts organizations.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Campaigns.
Demonstrates success in personally soliciting and closing capital and leadership gifts of $1,000,000 and higher.
Proven record of success working directly with a Board of Directors and high-level campaign steering committees.
