Salary Range: ₱60,000 - ₱80,000

Work Setup: Remote | Can start ASAP

Shift Schedule: Night Shift

Location: Philippines

 

The role

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient QA Trainer to lead quality improvement initiatives through data-driven education and coaching. This role is responsible for reviewing inpatient DRG coding quality, identifying performance trends, and developing targeted training programs that improve DRG assignment accuracy, compliance, and coding consistency. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Inpatient DRG Quality Assurance and a proven ability to translate QA findings into impactful coder education.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality reviews of inpatient DRG coding to ensure accurate DRG assignment and compliance with organizational and payer-specific standards.
  • Analyze QA findings to identify coding trends, recurring errors, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs based on QA data to improve DRG accuracy and coder performance.
  • Create educational materials, job aids, competency assessments, and refresher courses tailored to QA trends.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and constructive feedback to coders based on audit results.
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Clinical Documentation teams to address knowledge gaps and improve coding quality.
  • Track training effectiveness through QA metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on DRG methodologies, reimbursement changes, payer requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of inpatient DRG coders.
  • Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistency in QA standards and training delivery.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of solid Inpatient DRG Quality Assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering coder education programs based on QA findings and audit data.
  • Strong expertise in DRG assignment, validation, reimbursement methodologies, and inpatient coding quality standards.
  • Proven ability to identify coding trends, conduct root cause analysis, and implement targeted training interventions.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting QA metrics and translating findings into actionable learning initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
