In order to support the development department, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a
Mechanical Engineer for Helicopter Maintenance Design (d/m/w)
This position is located in Airbus Helicopters Design Office organisation within the Maintenance and Ground Operations department. You will work within this department (approximately 70 employees, spread across Marignane and Donauwörth) and be responsible for helicopter prototype maintenance programs and in-service major incidents (linked to maintenance) on various H/C programs (civil/military).

Tasks and responsibilities
Upon assuming this position, you will be responsible for the following operational and technical activities:
Helicopter Prototype maintenance:
Accountable for all Design Office prototype maintenance instructions.
Analyse and validate Design Office prototype Maintenance Technical Notes.
Responsible for organizing and driving prototype Maintenance Technical Notes updates.
Ensure all processes and maintenance documentation comply with the established BlueSky policy.
Serve as the bridge between Design Office, Prototype Flight Crew and Prototype Shop.
In-Service Major Incidents:
Contribute to investigation on incident/accident linked to maintenance operations.
Support Major Incident treatment activities and protect in-service maintenance burden.
Analyse maintenance procedures.
Organise maintenance validation tests.
Contribute to Aviation & Safety roadmap.
Maintainability analysis to check accessibility & feasibility of maintenance tasks and compliance to helicopter maintenance policy.
Ergonomic and Human Factors analysis to reduce maintenance errors and risks for operators and helicopters.
Influence system design and integration to ensure compliance to maintenance policy & requirements.
Propose alternative design and integration solutions to improve maintenance operation and reduce risk of human error.
Contribution to maintenance procedures development & demonstration on helicopter for validation.
Presentation to internal stakeholders, external authorities and customers.
Project management (cost, time, quality), including budget & consumption, planning and risk identification & mitigation.
Interaction with various departments in Design Office, Prototype Shop, Service & Support and Quality organisations.
Desired skills and qualifications
You are an Aerospace or Mechanical engineer or a certified aircraft engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience.
Good communication skills and know how to communicate with different stakeholders.
Dynamic, organized and accountable, you do not hesitate to go beyond your perimeter to reach your objective.
Experience in helicopter systems and helicopter maintenance.
Maintainability and ergonomic human factors analysis may be performed digitally (CATIA or Virtual Reality) or on Helicopter through test.
Basic knowledge on CATIA V5 is essential.
Knowledge on ergonomics would be appreciated.
Fluent English is essential to evolve in the international environment.
