Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Incident Prevention Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional at a dynamic government location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, government location policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working conditions varying by assignment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observed hazards through clear and accurate reports, and promptly communicate significant concerns to designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
