Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed - Hospital in Easley, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and reflect Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $21.46 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
- Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and help support visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate departments or resources as needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
