Shellback is looking for a full time Buyer responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials in support of our Coopersburg, PA manufacturing operations. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a growing department in a forever expanding semiconductor market. We are looking for candidates who are energetic, willing to take ownership, and driven to see success to be part of this new team. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement of purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services in support of the manufacturing facility.

• Establish alternative sources for materials and services, negotiate with suppliers on delivery improvements, and proactively communicate delivery status to various company stakeholders.

• Investigate reasons for material delays, initiate corrective action and coordinate related problems with engineering, purchasing, inventory control, sales, and finance.

• Coordinate Engineering Change notifications with suppliers.

• Process rejected material and initiate corrective actions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements

•  Proficient in MS office suite (particularly Excel).
• Familiar with manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory control methods and processes.
• Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet the demands of the project schedule.
• Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, sales & marketing, and technical personnel.

Preferred requirement 

• 2-3 years work experience.

Education

• Bachelor or Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
