Overview

Knowledge Services is currently seeking an Employee Benefits Processor for a 12-month contract (potential for extension) with the State of Indiana Public Retirement System INPRS.

 

Work Location: 100% onsite in Downtown Indianapolis 

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM

Pay Rate: $21/hour

Responsibilities

Employee Benefits Processor Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this role is to serve INPRS customers by processing retirement related activities.

• Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, all funds retirement account review, all funds pension benefit calculations, simple service inquiries, plan to plan service transfers and recalculations.

• The Processor will need to obtain in-depth knowledge of all pension plans, processing procedures and supporting systems within the INPRS organization.

• Perform retirement account review• Process retirement calculations; both initial calculations and recalculations due to changes in member account information• Setup benefit recipients within processing system• Perform simple service credit inquiries• Process plan to plan service transfers• Process initial death reviews and terminate accounts• Prepare monthly disability/continuing education correspondence for verification of continued eligibility to receive pension benefits• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employee Benefits Processor Requirements:

• Required; HS Diploma or equivalent.

• Must have strong math and analytical skills

• Background in pension plan administration, banking, loans, or numbers preferred

• Proficient oral and written communication skills needed in working with internal and external customers• Strong organization skills needed in conjunction with organizing workflow, setting priorities and meeting deadlines• Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
