About the Role: Laland Baptiste is hiring a dedicated Construction Superintendent to provide on-site leadership for the Library Systems Upgrade. This critical project involves the comprehensive modernization and structural repair of a 1900s building to improve energy efficiency, life safety, and accessibility. You will direct daily field operations, ensuring that the work is completed safely, to the highest quality standards, and within a single construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily on-site supervision for the 9,000 square foot facility renovation, ensuring all trades adhere to the project schedule and drawings.
• Manage site and building improvements, including roof replacement, concrete retaining wall rehabilitation, and mechanical room waterproofing.
• Oversee incidental asbestos abatement and manage safe interior restorations to address water infiltration damage.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive site safety management plans in strict adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Manage complex logistics, site drainage coordination, and traffic management within a constrained urban neighborhood environment.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience supervising building envelope rehabilitation, including roof systems, facade restoration, and structural repairs.
• Track record of successfully coordinating major mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and ADA elevator upgrades in historic or existing structures.
• Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, confined space entry, and NYC safety standards.
• Strong ability to manage multi-trade coordination in a single-phase construction execution.
