Overview
The Field Technician is responsible for supporting and overseeing field construction activities at oil and gas locations while assisting with hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of balancing project oversight with physical field work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple construction projects in the field to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Perform hands-on construction, installation, maintenance, and repair work as required.
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and field personnel to support project execution.
- Monitor job progress and identify potential issues before they impact project timelines.
- Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot field issues and implement practical solutions with minimal supervision.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of construction oilfield experience required.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or construction equipment.
- Experience reading construction drawings, blueprints, or work plans.
- Electrical experience or electrical troubleshooting knowledge highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours when needed.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
