Field Technician

Overview

The  Field Technician is responsible for supporting and overseeing field construction activities at oil and gas locations while assisting with hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of balancing project oversight with physical field work. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple construction projects in the field to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Perform hands-on construction, installation, maintenance, and repair work as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and field personnel to support project execution.
• Monitor job progress and identify potential issues before they impact project timelines.
• Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement practical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of construction oilfield experience required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment or construction equipment.
• Experience reading construction drawings, blueprints, or work plans.
• Electrical experience or electrical troubleshooting knowledge highly preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours when needed.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
