About the Role:

Responsible for review, analysis, and evaluation of credit data for specialized and complex Franchise Finance credit requests. The role performs initial financial spreading, modeling, and analysis; assists VP and SVP Credit Products Officers with preparing decision-ready credit memoranda; executes ongoing monitoring (annual reviews, covenant compliance, early warning indicators, criticized/problem credit support) in partnership with Credit Products Officers; manages and maintains internal databases containing industry trends and portfolio monitoring.

·         Collect, spread, and analyze business, industry, financial data and other supporting credit information concerning a client or prospect’s credit request. May include evaluation of enterprise-level and unit-level performance drivers (store sales trends, margins, labor and food cost sensitivity, operating leverage, and multi-unit execution risk). 

·         Monitor borrower financial performance in line with commercial and/or real estate loan documents; spreads financial statement and/or ensures required financial statements are spread in accordance with Bank Guidelines and resulting covenant calculations are accurate, complete and adhere to approval conditions and loan documentation.  Ensures borrower notifications are sent and approvals are obtained to resolve any violations in a timely manner.

·         Performs financial modeling and projections of client provided financial statements, including bank case and stress case scenarios, ratio analysis, and comparison to industry benchmarks.

·         Assist VP and SVP Credit Products Officers to prepare timely, concise and accurate credit recommendations for submission to next level of authority. 

·         Responsible for collection of financial information and conducting analysis by generating, running, and utilizing system-generated reports

·         Presents facts and offers opinions to Commercial Relationship Managers and VP and SVP Credit Products Officers concerning client and prospects credit worthiness. Provides exemplary customer service to internal and external clients.

·         Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

·         Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

·         Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

About You:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience (Required)

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting (Preferred)

Experience

·         2-5 years - Commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience or relevant lending experience or equivalent work experience.  (Required)

·         1-3 years - Franchise lending experience (Preferred)


Skills

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Intermediate credit and financial modeling skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis experience. Basic understanding of personal and business financial statements and tax returns.

·         Strong knowledge of loan documentation and collateral perfection.

·         Demonstrated time management skills, reflecting the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering work product on time

·         Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups to manage internal and external customer relationships.

·         Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business machines.

The pay range for this role is $78,000.00 to $135,000.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
