What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Warehouse Shipping Clerk in La Crosse, WI.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for scheduling outbound shipments and preparing documentation to ship product out of the warehouse. The Shipping Clerk will perform any and all Warehouse if needed.
Job Duties:
Ship outgoing products by ensuring accuracy of order as compared to actual Sales Order; ensure each order has documentation (e.g., packing slip, C of A, and any foreign documentation that may be needed); enter appropriate information into computer system.
Prepare all related paperwork required for outbound shipments; includes but is not limited to bills-of-lading, packing slips, special instructions, labels, reports, etc.
Check orders and customer notes to ensure accuracy and that the Quality Department has approved the product for shipment.
Prepare and complete UPS files for appropriate customers.
Set-up and schedule trucking appointments by working with approved vendors and trucking companies as directed.
Conduct research on back orders and report status to the appropriate person.
Assist in the Warehouse if needed.
Flexibility between the locations. Position will be required to perform Warehouse work when needed at all SCS locations.
Assist with Inventory Control as needed.
Act as back-up for Receiving Clerk as needed.
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol:
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
Support safety policies and programs.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
High School Diploma required.
Experience Required:
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure Required:
None
