Position Summary / Career Interest:
Physician - NeurologistThe University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time General Neurologist to join its dynamic team and support the department's mission of delivering the highest quality patient care while advancing teaching, research, and academic excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to improve access to neurological care across Kansas through innovative telehealth initiatives and statewide specialty care collaboration, with a commitment to keeping care close to home whenever clinically appropriate while ensuring patients have access to the advanced specialty care available through an academic health system.
About the Position:
- Participate in the development and implementation of coordinated specialty care networks designed to improve access to high-demand neurological services across rural and underserved regions of the state of Kansas.
- Collaborate on statewide assessments of specialty care gaps, utilizing population health data to optimize care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and inform scalable best practices for neurological services.
- Partner with health system and community stakeholders to advance physician integration, care coordination, and workforce development initiatives that strengthen local healthcare delivery, support community-based services, and improve access to neurological diagnostic and therapeutic resources.
- Dedicate a portion of clinical effort to providing telehealth neurology services that expand access to specialty care for rural and underserved communities throughout Kansas.
- Attend on the General Neurology consult service.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO
- Board certified/eligible in Neurology
- Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
