7+ month contract (164 business days) - possible extension

Must Haves:

  • 7+ years of hands-on ReactJS development experience building complex production-grade web applications.
  • 10+ years of Java, JDBC, and Spring Boot development experience, including backend services, APIs, and integrations and database-driven applications.
  • Public Sector experience
  • Specialist experience with Pexip APIs, Zoom APIs, video platform integration, video workflow implementation, video bridge programming, and virtual care workflow orchestration. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with HL7v2 interfaces, FHIR APIs, clinical workflow integration, scheduling integration, and healthcare interoperability patterns.

Description:

The Agency requires a Senior Fullstack Developer contract resource through Flextrack to support Virtual Care Product modernization, with a specialized focus on SMART on FHIR application development, hospital information system integration, HL7v2 interfaces, FHIR APIs, Mirth integration engine, scheduling integration, and clinical workflow integration. This resource must be a senior specialist in SMART on FHIR, FHIR, HL7v2, ReactJS, Java Spring Boot, Mirth integration engine, and integration with hospital information systems such as MEDITECH, Epic, and Cerner. The role will support secure clinical launch workflows, patient/provider context handling, scheduling and encounter integration, clinical data exchange, and standards-based integration between the Agency Virtual Care Products and hospital systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support ReactJS frontend components for the Agency Virtual Care Products.
  • Build and maintain Java, JDBC, and Spring Boot backend services supporting virtual care workflows, video integration, session management, scheduling integration, and operational reporting.
  • Integrate Zoom APIs and Pexip APIs into provider-facing, patient-facing, and administrative virtual care workflows.
  • Develop and support virtual care capabilities including waiting rooms, breakout workflows, session routing, meeting initiation, participant management, provider handoff workflows, and multi-party clinical encounter support.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot HL7v2 and FHIR-based integration components related to scheduling, encounter context, patient/provider context, and virtual visit workflows.
  • Support integration with NetIQ workflows and identity-enabled application processes, including role-based and context-aware workflow behaviour.
  • Participate in retirement and replacement of legacy TSM-related functionality by implementing modern, secure, maintainable application and integration components.
  • Collaborate with architects, video platform teams, integration teams, security, privacy, product owners, UX, QA, and operations stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, data access layers, backend business logic, message processing logic, integration services, and operational support components.
  • Support AWS OpenSearch integration where required for search, discovery, logging, analytics, troubleshooting, or operational reporting.
  • Work with test resources to support unit testing, integration testing, interface testing, regression testing, defect resolution, release readiness, and production implementation.
  • Prepare technical design documentation, API documentation, data mapping documentation, configuration notes, deployment notes, and knowledge transfer materials.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Telemedicine Network workflows virtual care workflows, and video service delivery models.
  • Experience with video bridge programming, Pexip configuration, Pexip API integration, Zoom API integration, and virtual visit workflow orchestration.
  • Experience building Java Spring Boot microservices in a healthcare, virtual care.
  • Experience with AWS OpenSearch for search, discovery, logging, analytics, operational monitoring, or troubleshooting use cases.
  • Experience with scheduling workflows, encounter workflows, provider workflows, patient workflows, privacy, security, accessibility, audit logging, and operational monitoring.
