Job Description
. Technical Oversight & Coordination ● Review and validate all design drawings (architectural, MEP, IT) ● Ensure alignment with building specs, landlord requirements, and codes ● Coordinate between consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders ● Input into employer requirements for consultants and suppliers, outlining the importance of designing for operation and a whole life approach to building design. Outline data requirements to support transition to operational systems (CMMS,CAFM, BMS integration) 2. Design Review with Operational Focus ● Ensure layouts are practical for daily operations & maintenance ● Work with project team, during design team meetings, to champion operational considerations into the design process. ● Check: Access to equipment (AHU, FCU, DB boards), Ceiling access panels & Proper zoning of HVAC 3. MEP Systems Management (Oversee installation and performance of) ● HVAC (cooling load, airflow balance) ● Electrical systems (load, redundancy, UPS) ● Plumbing & drainage ● Fire protection systems 4. Project Timeline & Risk Management ● Monitor on site progress vs milestones ● Identify technical risks early (e.g., power capacity, cooling issues) ● Ensure timely resolution of site issues 5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover ● Lead - Testing & commissioning (T&C) ● Lead - Snagging / defect rectification ● Verify - As-built drawings, O&M manuals and Warranties 6.
