This role is responsible for orchestrating complex, cross-functional initiatives that span market entry, localization, go-to-market enablement, operational readiness, and value realization.
The successful candidate will combine strong program leadership with financial and operational rigor, ensuring initiatives are governed effectively, executed predictably, and measured against clear business outcomes. This role serves as a critical bridge between China leadership, global teams, and functional stakeholders to ensure strategic objectives translate into tangible market impact.

Key responsibilities

Program Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define program goals, success criteria, roadmaps, milestones, and resource plans.

  • Drive clarity across people, process, and technology dimensions of large-scale initiatives.

Governance & Operating Model:

  • Establish and run robust program governance structures, including steering committees, working groups, and escalation paths.

  • Define roles, responsibilities, decision frameworks, and cadence to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making.

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise transformation standards, financial controls, and reporting expectations.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

  • Own program budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking across China initiatives.

  • Establish and operationalize financial and program management toolsets to support cost tracking, resource allocation, and performance reporting.

  • Analyze variances, risks, and trends; proactively recommend corrective actions.

Market & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Act as a central coordination point across China leadership, sales, marketing, R&D, finance, and global transformation teams.

  • Ensure market-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities are incorporated into program scope and execution.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and maintain consistent, effective communication at all levels.

Program Execution & Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end program delivery, ensuring initiatives meet defined scope, quality, budget, and schedule commitments.

  • Monitor progress against milestones and KPIs; remove obstacles and enable rapid issue resolution.

  • Ensure dependencies across teams and initiatives are actively managed.

Process, Tools & Capability Buildout

  • Lead the deployment and adoption of program and financial management processes and tools across China initiatives.

  • Define and document operating processes; support training, change adoption, and continuous improvement.

Risk, Change & Quality Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; implement contingency and mitigation plans where required.

  • Drive structured change management to ensure adoption of new ways of working.

  • Implement quality assurance practices to ensure deliverables meet agreed standards.

Value Realization & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure initiative outcomes versus baseline to validate value realization.

  • Capture lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve program execution and impact in China.

  • Promote a results-oriented, continuous improvement culture within program teams.

Essential requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, transformation, business planning, or operational leadership roles.

  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a global or matrixed organization.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance measurement.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish governance, operational processes, and reporting frameworks from the ground up.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification highly desirable.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Desired skills

  • Experience supporting market entry, localization, or market development initiatives in China.

  • Background in industrial software, engineering software, enterprise platforms, or complex B2B environments.

  • Hands-on experience with program management, financial planning, and reporting systems.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights.
