Description
Position Summary
- Accomplish all purchasing routines for assigned categories including but not limited to supplier sourcing, sending RFQ, implementing price comparison, supplier on-boarding and selection, price, T&C negotiation, contract signing, etc.
- Iniate, align and implement purchasing strategies for assigned categories on a regular basis.
- Manage global and local purchasing tools, in order to follow all regulations and internal principles and update required data in a timely manner.
- Analyze and generate purchasing report.
- Conduct cost reduction on regular basis.
Main Tasks
- Make sure all purchasing routines and transactions are well maintained without any compliance issues.
- Draft, update and implement assigned category purchasing strategies and communicate with stakeholders when needed.
- Manage purchasing tools and reports and keep close communication with colleagues from headquarter and other departments for alignments.
- Manage assigned product transfer and localization projects.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Experience
- Demonstrated strong manufacturing or engineering background and sourcing knowledge in production environment with at least 5 years of experience in the relevant areas.
- Rich experience of machined parts and other mechanical categories with understanding of cost breakdown and should-cost, preferably in high-mix low-volume industry.
- Proven ability to set ambitious target and achieve saving result by localization, should-cost analysis and VA/VE
- Familiar with procurement process, supplier evaluation and quality system.
- Good communication, negotiation and supplier development skills.
- Rich experiences in SAP system related to supplier and material management modules.

Competencies
- Good knowledge and experience with purchasing mechanical products, especially localization experience.
- Coordinates global projects partnering strategic buyers of other location within the same project.
- Lead review and negotiation of contracts to confirm pricing, mitigate risks and ensure supply.
- Lead the cross-functional team (including quality, engineering and operations) in the evaluation, selection and qualification of new suppliers. Work with the team to also develop strategies to establish an optimised supply base.
