Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Tech Architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable and secure API solutions.
Build, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs, integrations, and microservices following enterprise architecture standards and API governance practices.
Develop and enhance API solutions for end-to-end payment processing workflows, including payment initiation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design resilient, high-performing, and fault-tolerant services that meet business and operational requirements.
Implement API security standards, including OAuth2, JWT, mutual TLS, and API lifecycle management using WSO2 platforms.
Ensure application reliability and resiliency through monitoring, logging, alerting, performance tuning, and disaster recovery best practices.
Develop integrations with internal and external systems using messaging, event-driven, and middleware technologies.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support guidelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, design discussions, and architecture reviews to drive engineering excellence.
Troubleshoot, debug, and provide production support for business-critical payment applications and API services.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve API platform performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and developer productivity.
Utilize AI tools to accelerate API design, code generation, integration development, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization while adhering to enterprise engineering standards.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI-assisted automation in API development, testing, monitoring, and operational support.
Ensure AI-generated solutions comply with enterprise security, governance, regulatory, and coding standards before deployment into production environments.
Who you are
The preferred candidate must:
possess more than 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise application development.
Minimum 5 years of end-to-end payments domain experience, covering payment initiation, processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and payment operations.

Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and application resiliency solutions.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains such as Jenkins, CI/CD, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
