Are you passionate about shaping the future of business education and building strong bridges between industry and academia? Do you bring substantial industry experience in digital business and marketing, together with the ability to lead partnerships, drive applied projects, and inspire both students and colleagues?

We are looking for dynamic and experienced Lecturer to join the School of Business. In this role, you will contribute beyond classroom teaching to play a key part in curriculum innovation, industry engagement, student development, and the growth of both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes. You will also be expected to initiate and strengthen industry partnerships, lead practice-oriented projects, and contribute to the School’s strategic efforts in ensuring curriculum relevance and strong graduate outcomes.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences for both PET and CET learners.
  • Design, develop, and review curriculum, learning materials, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes, career readiness, and industry relevance.
  • Lead or contribute to curriculum innovation in areas related to supply chain management, automation, international trade and business, global trade and logistics practices.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen industry partnerships to support authentic learning, student projects, internships, consultancy work, and other collaborative initiatives.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for industry engagement, including client-based projects, applied learning opportunities, guest talks, company projects, and strategic collaborations.
  • Lead and mentor students in competitions, industry projects, internships, overseas programmes, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of CET programmes, including engagement with adult learners and industry professionals.
  • Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues where appropriate, and contribute to school or course-level initiatives, committees, and enhancement projects.
  • Manage teaching-related administration, including lesson preparation, assessment coordination, and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide holistic support, coaching, and pastoral care to students.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of relevant industry experience in international trade and business, global trade and logistics, supply chain management, or related areas, with a strong track record of professional practice and applied business impact.
  • Strong expertise in international trade and business, supply chain management, global trade and logistics and equivalent, with hands-on experience in areas such as:
    • Business operations excellence
    • Supply chain automation and analytics
    • Sustainable global trade and logistics
    • Enterprise process digitalisation
    • Sustainable transportation and warehousing
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage industry partnerships, with experience in collaborating with external stakeholders on projects, business initiatives, or talent development.
  • Strong understanding of current industry trends and emerging developments, including the use of technology and digital tools in business contexts.
  • Proficiency in relevant digital and business tools such as:
    • Logistical and supply chain management systems  
    • Microsoft Excel and other productivity / business tools
  • A strong passion for education, student development, and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also taking initiative to lead projects and partnerships.

Successful candidates will be offered an initial 2-year contract.
