Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a EHS Technician (1st Shift) at 415 Puckett Ferry Road.
The rate for this position is $24.73/Hourly per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00pm until 3:00am.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

## What you’ll do:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Production Technician to support and advance EHS initiatives at our Hodges Busway manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced electrical manufacturing environment. In this role, you will contribute to the production of high-quality products by performing complex assembly operations while adhering to established Standard Work procedures, safety requirements, and customer specifications. You will also play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence throughout the facility.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Eaton's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations while advancing a Zero Incident Safety Culture.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations; identify hazards and improvement opportunities; and implement corrective actions and work design enhancements, including lifts, hoists, manipulators, and other engineering controls.Lead and support incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analyses, track corrective actions, and partner with Operations on 8D investigations for recordable incidents.
- Maintain EHS documentation and compliance records, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), training records, permits, environmental logs, and other regulatory requirements.
- Champion ownership of three assigned MESH programs and actively participate in EHS teams, committees, and engagement initiatives to achieve annual site safety and environmental objectives.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and support EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors to reinforce safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, inspect, and maintain safety equipment, emergency response supplies, and environmental control systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, including waste management, air emissions tracking, and water discharge monitoring.
- Motivate, coach, and engage employees to promote a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement through effective communication, recognition, and accountability.
- Partner closely with the Site EHS Manager to support site EHS strategy, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Perform complex product assembly operations in accordance with Standard Work, quality standards, production schedules, and customer requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Safely move materials and products using approved lift-assist equipment or team-lifting techniques; must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds with or without accommodation.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health or Safety in a manufacturing environment or a combination of those functions
Position Criteria:
- Familiar with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels in an organization, while establishing and maintaining a strong EHS presence
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and ability to engage across all areas of the plant.
