About the India Design Studio

We are establishing an India Design Studio in Gurugram to support Inizio Ignite's global teams. The studio will operate as a central design hub, working with business-unit spokes across Research Partnership, Putnam, Vynamic, STEM and Innovation & Growth.

The Design Studio will turn complex strategic, scientific and commercial content into clear, persuasive client stories. It will support high-value business development and client-facing work, including proposals, RFP responses, pitch decks, credentials, case studies, thought leadership and other priority materials.

Our goal is to improve the quality, speed and consistency of these materials; strengthen how Ignite presents its connected expertise; and build reusable design assets and ways of working that support client delivery and growth.

 

How quality works in the studio

Quality is shared. Everyone who creates or edits work is accountable for the accuracy and quality of their contribution. Designers complete a structured self-check before handover. The Production & QA Assistant provides independent, checklist-based review and delivery control. The Senior Designer provides creative oversight and final design sign-off for priority or high-risk work. Business stakeholders remain accountable for factual content, client requirements and final business approval.

How we use AI

Approved AI and automation tools may be used to support brief understanding, content structuring, asset discovery, layout exploration, tagging and quality checks. They are enabling tools rather than substitutes for design craft. Human judgement, confidentiality, accessibility, brand integrity and final accountability always come first.

Your primary role

Role: Senior Designer - India Design Studio

Location: Gurugram, India

Team: India Design Studio

The Senior Designer is the Design Studio's senior craft and quality lead. You will remain hands-on in high-value work while setting creative standards, coaching designers and ensuring that Ignite's connected expertise is expressed through clear, persuasive and distinctive client stories.

What you will do

• Lead complex proposals, RFP responses, pitch decks, credentials and other high-value client-facing design work.
• Translate strategic, scientific and commercial content into persuasive visual narratives, storylines, information structures and data stories.
• Provide creative direction and final design sign-off for priority, complex or high-risk work, while reinforcing that designers and business stakeholders retain accountability for their contributions and factual content.
• Review team outputs and provide clear, constructive feedback against brand, accessibility, storytelling and quality standards.
• Coach designers in presentation craft, information design, data visualisation, brand application, stakeholder engagement and responsible AI-enabled ways of working.
• Partner with business-unit spokes and workflow leads to clarify briefs, shape scope, estimate effort and agree realistic quality and delivery expectations.
• Protect and evolve Inizio Ignite templates, visual systems, reusable components, iconography, data-visualisation patterns and asset libraries.
• Identify recurring quality issues and opportunities to improve briefs, workflows, QA checks, onboarding and knowledge sharing.
• Use approved AI tools responsibly for understanding, restructuring, exploration, asset discovery and QA, and help the team apply them without compromising craft, confidentiality or accountability.
• Contribute to the growth of the Design Studio by demonstrating its value, strengthening global relationships and helping the team scale effective practices.

About you

Your skills and experience

• At least 6 years of experience in presentation design, visual design, graphic design or a similar creative role, ideally in healthcare, life sciences, consulting, professional services or an agency environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating complex pitches, proposals, RFPs, credentials, information design, data visualisation and client-facing storytelling.
• Advanced PowerPoint and presentation-design capability, with strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or similar tools; Think-cell or other charting tools would be advantageous.
• Excellent visual storytelling, layout, typography, information design, data visualisation and design-system skills.
• Experience coaching designers, reviewing work and raising quality without creating unnecessary delay or dependency.
• Strong stakeholder management, scoping, prioritisation and problem-solving skills in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of brand governance, accessibility, reusable asset systems, document QA and final-delivery standards.
• Confident and responsible AI literacy, with the judgement to decide when AI adds value and when human-led craft is required.
• The confidence to challenge unclear content, unrealistic expectations or work that does not meet client-facing standards.

Further information

This is a full-time role and is expected to follow a hybrid working pattern, based at our Inizio location in Gurugram. The role will support global teams across time zones, so flexibility to work within agreed UK- and US-aligned collaboration windows may be required. The exact reporting line, working pattern and hours will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
