Our Department

The Biophysics and Process Analytics team is part of Analytical Development- Cell and Gene Therapies responsible for a range of activities focused on biophysical studies for cell and gene therapy projects (lentiviral vectors, AAV, RNA-LNP), emerging technology exploration and investigations and process analytical technologies. Our responsibilities include interfacing with discovery groups, scouting, exploration and implementation of novel analytical technologies and analytical support for process development.

 

 

Job description:

 

We are looking for a senior scientist ready to engage with a challenging and exciting scientific project and likes working in a multidisciplinary team. The focus of the project will be on lentiviral vectors for cell therapy, specifically on understanding lentiviral vector production process, homogeneity, size distribution and morphology, factors that lead to their stabilization/degradation, technology scouting and implementation for analytical characterization. The candidate will be designing and executing biochemistry and biophysics experiments and analyzing biochemical and biophysical data. The ideal candidate is science minded, flexible and dynamic in approaches and has a proven theoretical and experimental track record in the field of bioanalytics with comprehensive hands-on experience with a full range of Biophysics and full proteomics Mass Spectrometry applications. Experience with lentiviral vectors and/or other viral vectors is a plus. Further responsibilities include instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, written reporting and oral presentations in various settings.

The candidate is expected to attend and present at internal/external scientific events and contribute to scientific publications. The candidate is expected to have an inclusive and collaborative spirit and establish good links with professionals with unique backgrounds and expertise.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD with proven track record in the field of mass spectrometry and broad understanding of biophysics. Experience working with lentivectors and/or other viral vectors is preferred.

 

Competences:

The successful candidate is flexible, has a scientific mindset and likes teamwork and outside the box approaches. He/She is eager to share both his/her theoretical and experimental knowledge and keen to explore new technologies. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team are equally important as independent planning and execution of tasks.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€64 000,00 - €103 040,00
