What's the role?
This role is situated within News Corp's dynamic Growth and Experience team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and seamless delivery of trade and client events nationwide that deliver business objectives and showcase the strength of the News Corp Australia portfolio. The role upholds the highest standards of execution, ensuring each event reflects the company’s brand, achieves its objectives and reinforces our commitment to excellence in stakeholder experience.
The Event Manager ensures every event excites and engages audiences, creating memorable, on-brand experiences that align with News Corp Australia’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities:
- Deliver trade marketing events, led by the Client Partnerships Event Director, that strengthen client engagement and achieve campaign objectives, ensuring seamless execution to best-in-class standards.
- Manage end-to-end event delivery across both virtual and in-person formats, including planning, logistics, stakeholder coordination, onsite management, and post-event reporting.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external suppliers and creative agencies to ensure seamless delivery of event experiences
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event sponsors, commercial partners and internal stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
- Manage supplier and partner relationships, overseeing negotiations, contracts, and service delivery to ensure quality, innovation, and value for investment.
- Partner with the Client Marketing team to enhance customer experiences, ensuring all event touchpoints strengthen client relationships and deliver meaningful brand interactions.
- Stay informed on industry insights, competitor activity, and global best practices, bringing fresh ideas to sponsorships, activations, and engagement strategies.
- Evaluate and report on event performance, providing insights and recommendations that drive continuous improvement across the events program.

- An event executive/manager with 4 years experience in managing brand partnerships
- A collaborative and detail-oriented individual who is nimble in a fast-paced industry
- Proactive attitude, who is up for any challenge or task
- Flexibility to travel for event delivery
