Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. As such, we’re proud to have been named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces four times since 2021 — including third place in 2025 — plus Best Workplace for Women in 2023 and Best Workplace in Technology in 2024 and 2025. These listings are testament to every person who helps make REA a great place to work.
Where the team fits in
REA Financial Services brings together REA’s scale, consumer audience on realestate.com.au, property data and finance capabilities to help Australians not just find property, but finance it too. The business connects personalised property and finance journeys across consumer experiences, Mortgage Choice’s national broker network, and PropTrack’s valuation and property insights capabilities, with the ambition to become Australia’s number one destination to find and finance property.
As a Senior Product Designer, you are responsible for shaping products that create value for the people we design for, our business and our partners. Working closely with Product, Engineering and Design, you lead design across your product area, confidently navigating ambiguity and influencing product direction through customer insight, business goals and technical constraints to deliver meaningful product outcomes. Leveraging our design system, principles and playbook, you'll help shape the vision for your portfolio while delivering exceptional end-to-end experiences.
What the role is all about
- Partner with Product, Engineering and stakeholders to shape product direction and deliver valuable customer outcomes.
- Develop a deep understanding of the people we design for, business opportunities and technical constraints to inform design decisions.
- Lead end-to-end design from discovery through to delivery, selecting appropriate methods to solve complex product problems.
- Conduct and support qualitative and quantitative research, using evidence to validate assumptions and improve product decisions.
- Create high-quality interaction and visual design that aligns with our design system, principles and accessibility standards.
- Prototype, test and iterate solutions using customer feedback, analytics and experimentation.
- Support and mentor Product Designers through coaching, feedback and collaborative design practices.
- Lead design critiques and champion customer-centred decision making within your squads.
- Monitor product performance, emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to continuously improve customer and business outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
- 5+ years' experience designing digital products from discovery through to delivery.
- Strong product thinking, with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals and technical constraints.
- Excellent interaction and visual design skills, with a demonstrated ability to independently lead complex product design initiatives from discovery through to delivery, creating scalable experiences using design systems.
- Confidence leading design within a cross-functional squad and influencing decisions through evidence, collaboration and clear communication.
- A growth mindset, resilience and a passion for continuously improving products and customer experiences.
- A strong point of view on what great product design looks like, balanced by the curiosity and humility to learn, collaborate and evolve your thinking.
