Role Summary
Shift: Monday-Friday; 6:00am-2:30pm
The Warehouse Trainer & Audit Associate plays a dual, critical role in driving operational excellence. As an expert in warehouse operations, this position is responsible for training and developing hourly employees (both new hires and tenured staff) while rigorously auditing inventory, orders, and operational processes for quality and accuracy. By identifying error trends and gaps during audits, this role directly informs training initiatives—ensuring safety compliance, process accuracy, and peak performance across the facility.
Role Responsibilities
- Training & Onboarding
- Training Delivery: Conduct individual and group training sessions, cross-training, re-training, and PIT certifications/evaluations following SOPs and work instructions.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Assist with new hire orientation, onboarding, and safety compliance.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor, document, and report on training progress, productivity, and accuracy for new hires.
- Continuous Improvement: Work closely with operational leadership to identify areas where targeted training can elevate team performance and work quality.
- Auditing & Quality Control
- Operational Audits: Perform inbound and outbound audits to verify order accuracy, garment SKUs, sizes, colors, quantities, and locations against system records.
- Defect & Error Inspection: Inspect garments for defects, damage, incorrect labeling, or processing errors.
- Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate inventory discrepancies, document findings, and report error trends or process issues to leads and supervisors.
- SOP Adherence: Maintain quality standards and ensure departmental compliance with established SOPs and safety procedures.
- Skills & Competencies
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with RF scanners, basic computer systems, touchscreens, and desktop applications.
- Equipment Knowledge: Working knowledge and ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker, box cutters, carts).
- Process & Accuracy: Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written work instructions, comprehend SOPs, and maintain absolute confidentiality.
- Core Abilities: Excellent communication and instructional skills, strong time management, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- General Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while promoting a respectful, collaborative team culture.
- Operate department-specific technology (RF scanners, desktop computers, touchscreens) and warehouse equipment safely.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
Role Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school degree or GED a plus
- Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
- Possess time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of warehouse equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker)
- Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a team environment
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to keep confidential information private
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk throughout a shift
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
- Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements.
