Job Description:
The Commercial Strategy Senior Analyst contributes to strategic planning and business performance initiatives within UPS's U.S. Domestic Commercial organization. Reporting to a Senior Manager, this role provides analysis and recommendations that inform decisions across UPS's largest business unit. The Senior Analyst leads analytical workstreams in support of major strategic initiatives and independently manages select projects from inception through completion.
The position offers exposure to a broad range of strategic priorities and senior leadership activities. Success requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously with limited oversight, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and build productive relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
The role is well-suited for individuals who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking ownership of high-visibility deliverables, and transforming complex business information into clear, actionable insights for leadership audiences. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of UPS tenure or comparable experience in strategy, finance, consulting, marketing, analytics, or a related field.
Responsibilities
The Commercial Strategy Senior Analyst supports strategic initiatives across the U.S. Domestic organization by conducting research, performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, and developing recommendations that inform business decisions. The role contributes to high-priority projects spanning commercial performance, growth strategy, and operational execution. In addition to supporting larger initiatives, the Senior Analyst independently manages select projects and workstreams, providing regular updates to leadership and ensuring deliverables are executed successfully from planning through completion.
The Senior Analyst also develops executive communications and presentation materials for senior leadership audiences. This includes both recurring deliverables tied to UPS's corporate calendar, such as Board presentations, the Annual Offsite, and other leadership forums, as well as ad hoc materials developed in response to emerging business issues, and leadership requests. Additionally, they will have coordinating responsibility for recurring events within the U.S. Domestic Commercial organization, such as the group’s quarterly Town Hall.
This position involves close coordination with partners across Competitive Intelligence, Market Insights, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and other functions to monitor industry developments, assess market trends, and evaluate competitive activity. Through these partnerships, the Senior Analyst helps identify risks and opportunities and contributes recommendations that support the organization's strategic objectives.
