Overview
The General Affairs Assistant Manager is a member of the Business Support Department in Mobis South Carolina Electrified Powertrain(MSCe) and is responsible establishing and stabilizing overall site operations for a new manufacturing entity. This position is responsible for leading General Affairs (GA) functions, ensuring efficient workplace operations, cost-effective facility and vendor management, and a safe, compliant, and employee-friendly work environment.
The role oversees end-to-end administrative and facility-related operations, including infrastructure setup, workplace services, vendor governance, asset control, and regulatory compliance. In addition, this position drives operational readiness and continuous improvement by implementing standardized processes, managing operational risks, and optimizing service quality to support business continuity and employee experience and the following work scope:

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of General Affairs (GA) policies, standards, and operating procedures for MSCe.
- Oversee and optimize workplace operations to ensure efficient, scalable, and standardized site management.
- Own end-to-end asset lifecycle management (procurement, tracking, transfer, and disposal) ensuring accuracy, control, and compliance.
- Manage facility operations including maintenance, repair, cleaning, and landscaping to ensure safety, functionality, and service quality.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance management while driving cost optimization across all GA-related services (e.g., cleaning, security, leasing, telecom, vehicle lease).
- Oversee employee services including travel coordination, expatriate onboarding, and relocation support to ensure seamless employee experience.
- Maintain corporate administrative infrastructure including directory management and internal communication systems.
- Ensure site security systems and access controls are effectively managed and compliant with internal policies and local regulations.
- Serve as a key liaison with South Korea Headquarters, Hyundai Motor Group affiliates, and local authorities to ensure alignment and operational continuity.
- Plan and execute company-wide events and engagement programs to enhance organizational culture and employee experience.
- Own GA budget including annual planning, monthly tracking, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Make independent decisions regarding vendor selection, contract terms, and operational priorities within GA scope.
- Drive site operational readiness and stabilization during the initial setup and ramp-up phase.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Acts as the primary owner of vendor governance, including performance management, service delivery standards, and contract compliance for all outsourced services and contractors.
Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum of 5years of experience in General Affairs, facility operations, or workplace management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and facility operations
- Experience in site setup, operational stabilization, or multi-functional workplace management is strongly preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to set clear performance expectations and hold internal stakeholders and external vendors accountable for achieving operational goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional and cross-cultural stakeholders
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting, analysis, and communication
- Strong capability in budget management, cost control, and financial tracking
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and corporate insurance programs
- Experience supporting new site setup, expansion, or operational ramp-up in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with global organizations or multinational companies
Working Conditions: Office setting with frequent walking, standing, and regular presence on the shop floor to oversee facilities and support site operations.
Note: The incumbent may be required to temporarily work from an alternate Mobis location(Columbia, SC) during the initial setup phase until the primary MSCe site(Blythewood, SC) is fully operational.
