Overview
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an analytical and motivated individual to support customer participation in the Mastercard global ecosystem. Franchise plays a critical role in enabling the Mastercard network to scale and expand its capabilities across traditional and emerging payment flows. As the payments landscape continues to evolve through digitization, multi-rail opportunities, and new customer segments, this role will support initiatives that drive ecosystem growth and operational excellence.
The Analyst will work closely with the Southeast Asia (East) Division, country teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support customer initiatives, ecosystem performance, and business enablement activities. The individual will contribute insights, coordinate stakeholder engagement, and assist in the execution of Franchise-related programs and initiatives.
Key characteristics include:
• Supporting Franchise Business Partners in executing strategic and operational initiatives across Southeast Asia (East).
• Assisting with customer onboarding, ecosystem optimization, and business enablement activities.
• Conducting analysis and preparing insights to support customer and business decisions.
• Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely and seamless customer experiences.
• Developing a foundational understanding of Mastercard's Franchise framework, payments ecosystem, and regulatory environment.
• Contributing to process improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Accountabilities
1. Support Franchise Business Partners in the planning, execution, and monitoring of customer and business initiatives.
2. Conduct research, analysis, and reporting to support ecosystem performance, customer opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
3. Assist in preparing presentations, business cases, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Support customer engagements by coordinating Franchise-related activities and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
5. Partner with Business Development, Product, Customer Delivery, Risk, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate business opportunities and customer onboarding activities.
6. Monitor onboarding progress and support the achievement of service level agreements (SLAs) to deliver a positive customer experience.
7. Assist in identifying potential risks, compliance considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with customer activities.
8. Maintain and analyze customer and operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
9. Support initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency through process simplification, standardization, and automation.
10. Help track and coordinate Franchise-related projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communications are effectively managed.
11. Develop knowledge of Mastercard products, services, customer segments, and the broader payments ecosystem.
12. Collaborate with regional and country teams to support alignment on priorities, initiatives, and business objectives.
Requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and derive meaningful insights.
• Interest in payments, financial services, fintech, or the broader digital payments ecosystem.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to develop expertise in Franchise, customer onboarding, and payments-related processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams in a matrix organization.
• Experience in payments, banking, fintech, risk management, compliance, or customer operations is an advantage but not required.
• Familiarity with AML, regulatory requirements, or onboarding processes is a plus.
