Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and other complex mechanical problems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
Diagnostic Work:
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify vehicle issues.
- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes and follow manufacturer guidelines for repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest diagnostic techniques and tools.
Customer Service:
- Communicate with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of vehicle issues and required repairs.
- Offer recommendations for additional services based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure customer vehicles are repaired correctly and in a timely manner to meet customer satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately complete repair orders, detailing work performed, parts used, and time spent on each repair.
- Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
- Report any additional vehicle issues or concerns to service advisors and management.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other service technicians, service advisors, and parts department to ensure a smooth and efficient service process.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current with industry developments and dealership policies.
- Assist and mentor junior technicians as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to shop policies and regulations.
- Properly dispose of hazardous materials and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Previous automotive service experience required.
