‘Your role in achieving results:’
As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our finished goods distribution strategy and customer satisfaction efforts. Your essential role will be to replenish finished products between our manufacturing plants and distribution centers using the SAP-PPDS system.
Working closely with our manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and customer service team, you will be responsible for ensuring product availability in the right place at the right time by executing replenishment orders. In addition, you will play a key role in maintaining and implementing new ways of working aimed at maximizing customer service levels while minimizing overall operating costs across Agropur’s plants and distribution centers.
All of this will take place in a dynamic, collaborative environment within a growing department.
- Ensure the optimal balance of finished goods availability (DRP) based on business needs, including customer orders, sales forecasts, and warehouse space optimization;
- Define and maintain DRP parameters in SAP to ensure the system generates transfer proposals in accordance with constraints and business rules, such as lot sizes, lead times, and logistics capacities;
- Work closely with the Production Planning team, Distribution Centers, and Customer Service to ensure complete and on-time deliveries to customers;
- Monitor and take action on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as projected stock shortages and service levels, to support continuous improvement initiatives;
- Identify and address discrepancies between demand forecasts and available finished goods inventory levels;
- Follow up with the Logistics team regarding inter-site deliveries when required;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date transactional and system data within their area of responsibility;
- Participate in a knowledge-sharing community of practice;
- Travel occasionally to sites under their responsibility;
- Perform other assigned projects, duties, or tasks as required.
‘What we are looking for to deliver these results:’
- Degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field;
- 0 to 2 years of experience in inventory management or logistics;
- Strong computer skills;
- Experience with inventory management systems; knowledge of SAP and Power BI is considered an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. English is required to collaborate with colleagues and customers across other Canadian provinces.
