We are a leading provider of Custom Indexing services via Canvas. Canvas is a platform offering financial advisors an unprecedented level of control and ease in creating and managing client portfolios in separately managed accounts (SMAs). Advisors can set up custom investment templates, access factor investing strategies, utilize passive strategies, actively manage taxes, and apply ESG investing and SRI screens according to the specific needs, preferences, and objectives of individual clients.
HOW YOU WILL ADD VALUE
The primary role of the National Account Manager is to support the growth of large accounts in the Retail, RIA, Platforms and Aggregator channels. This is achieved by:
Providing support to the Head of Canvas Distribution and Franklin Templeton National Account Managers
Taking ownership over relationship management and needs of specific accounts as well as supporting other tier 1 accounts
Being an expert resource on Canvas and the custom indexing landscape to our internal partners at Franklin Templeton and our Home Office clients
Effectively collaborating with other members of the OSAM Client Service, Portfolio Management, Operations, Tech and Relationship Management teams
Educate and promote CANVAS® throughout Franklin Templeton National Accounts and partner firm Home Office relationships
Grow the platform by adding both new relationships and continuously adding more Canvas functionality to existing relationships
Develop Home Office relationships and retain and deepen existing relationships in partnership with the Franklin Templeton National Account Team
Take ownership of follow-up communication, project management and execution of client needs
WHAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7+ years of experience of direct indexing sales or asset management experience
Having existing home office relationships or experience is desirable
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Demonstrate the ability to be a utility player able to flex between lead and support roles
High level communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and hold oneself accountable for results
Willingness to learn from others and participate in a “team first” environment
Ability to effectively problem solve in a timely manner

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
This is a hybrid role that can be based out of Stamford (CT), Boston (MA), NYC, or Saint Petersburg (FL)
Travel expectations of 25-50%

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $135,000 – $175,000 per year depending on location plus bonus opportunity.
