Overview
The Plastics QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance and development of QC Team Members in the Plastics Division, ensuring that quality issues are resolved, communicating with other plant departments, and developing special project.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Submit timely daily documentation concerning internal and external scrap, rework and return reports.
- Maintain and update existing documents related to daily reports.
- Make suggestions as to how the quality control process can be improved.
- Support the development, review, presentation and implementation of internal and external 5 Panel submissions.
- Support training and preparing new employees for familiarity of product and new product changes when necessary.
- Create documents illustrating new model training.
- Assist in development of special department projects and work in conjunction with Senior Specialist and/or Manager.
- Measure the quality of products using a pre-defined set of criteria.
- Support Team Leads with Inspector instructional training activities.
- Generate reports, graphs and charts as needed. Quality alerts for internal issues
- Document and track daily team members time keeping.
- On-going interactions with various departments.
- Follows Mobis Handbook policies.
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, to include attendance at safety meetings as well as conduct safety meetings when necessary.
- Prompt, regular, predictable attendance.
- Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours.
- Overtime and weekend work as required.
- Required to work with, handle, store, or otherwise manage hazardous materials, and must comply with all applicable regulations established by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Responsibilities include ensuring safe and compliant management of hazardous materials in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
- May be required to participate in training for handling of hazardous materials.

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

Qualifications
Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 years’ equivalent experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong communication and mathematical skills
- Moderate to high proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Familiar with 5 panel (or similar) problem solving methodologies
- Detailed Oriented
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: N/A
Working Conditions:
- 25% in the office environment and 75 % on the floor.
- Traverse around the floor environment and office environment, inspect parts to quality standards, communicate effectively with all team members, detect and determine defects.
- Lifting up to 30-50 lbs occasionally.
