As the System Studies Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing System Studies organization by driving operational excellence, people development, competency growth, capacity planning, financial performance, and organizational development. You will ensure delivery performance in terms of utilization, on-time delivery, quality, cost, safety, and compliance while fostering strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration. You will build capabilities for future business growth through strategic workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, leadership development, and technology adoption. You will work closely with local and global stakeholders to ensure effective execution of business objectives and continuous improvement of engineering delivery. You will represent the team within local and global management forums and contribute to the organization's strategic roadmap and long-term success.
Activities Involved:
Operational
- Strategy preparations (short term) in line with Global Strategy.
- Ensure meeting the defined KPIs.
- Ensure achieving financial KPIs.
- Support in resource planning (short to medium term) and allocation based on the forecast of tenders & projects in collaboration with global organization.
- Support in review and approve techno-economic offering in a tender/project, assess risk and opportunity.
- Run routine review & follow-up with the project team and other cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers.
- Drive implementation of process improvements, standardization, modularization and automation initiative.
- Accountable for the team as per Hitachi Energy Group compliance, Integrity, Health & Safety.
- Recruitment of people as per the Capacity work force planning.
- Retention of key people.
People
- Responsible for personnel assessments / people’s review, target setting for the direct reports
- Identify people’s development area(s) and implement actions accordingly.
- Identify key competence area and have succession planning.
Strategic
- Contribute to the development and execution of the local organization’s roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Workout future scope expansion and competence development
- Drive operation development for the local organization
Qualification & Experience:
- Masters/ Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Has previous experience in power system analysis and has atleast 5 years of job experience in this field.
- Proven leadership experience as a line manager, team lead, project manager or technical leader will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in Power Quality Solutions (FACTS)/HVDC is preferred.
Soft skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required.
- Good intercultural sensitivity

- Excellent English speaker, good communication skills
- Dynamic and Proactive, willing to grow in the organization
Its great if you have Knowledge and Skills in:
- Experience in FACTS / HVDC systems/Renewable energy/Utility application.
