Apex Companies is a multidisciplinary consulting, engineering, and environmental services firm providing innovative solutions to municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients nationwide. Our team delivers expertise across a broad range of disciplines, including civil, environmental, electrical, transportation, water resources, utilities, land development, and water/wastewater engineering.
At Apex, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and technical professionals on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. This role provides meaningful hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and exposure to multiple engineering disciplines while helping you build a strong foundation for a successful engineering career.
Position Summary
As a New Graduate Engineer, you will support engineering teams in the planning, design, analysis, and implementation of projects across multiple markets and service areas. You will gain valuable experience through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, participation in field and office assignments, and involvement in projects that make a lasting impact on communities and infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering design, analysis, and project documentation.
- Support field investigations, site visits, inspections, environmental sampling, and data collection efforts.
- Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and other project deliverables.
- Utilize engineering software and technology tools to support project work.
- Collaborate with project teams to solve technical challenges and meet project objectives.
- Participate in both office and field assignments to gain well-rounded industry experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, contractors, and stakeholders as needed.
- Learn and apply engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with estimated completion by Spring 2027.
- Prior internship in engineering or related field desired.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and develop professionally.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
