Shift Operations: 1st shift

What this job involves

This position sustains the Facility Management Program by providing direct supervision of operational support personnel including maintenance technicians, mobile equipment technicians, housekeeping staff, and vendor contractors. The Facility Supervisor manages day-to-day facility operations, coordinates project work assigned by Facilities Managers, and ensures smooth site operations through regular inspections, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution. This role serves as the on-site operational leader maintaining communication with building occupants, conducting safety tours, managing budgets, and implementing standard operating procedures to ensure facility services meet specifications and operational standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Supervise and manage JLL maintenance technicians, mobile equipment technicians, housekeeping personnel, and vendor contracts to ensure operational excellence and service delivery
• Conduct regular facility inspections, safety tours, and equipment checks to evaluate physical conditions, ensure proper operation, and verify work meets specifications and established standards
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work assignments for subordinate supervisors and teams while conducting regular briefings and de-briefings to maintain operational awareness
• Investigate, plan, manage, and implement facility projects assigned by Site Managers while communicating project status to building occupants and ensuring timely, satisfactory completion
• Manage vendor relationships through regular meetings, resolve site-related issues, monitor cleaning activities per SOPs, and ensure closure of service and equipment complaints with corrective action
• Maintain required records including work hours, budgets, inventory of consumable stock, and site reports while performing financial tasks and managing operational budgets
• Provide on-site coverage during weekend production as required, assist with Manager coverage for training and vacation, and address operational issues to ensure continuous facility operations

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be available to work 2nd shift hours
• Required to conduct frequent facility rounds and physical inspections of building conditions
• Must be able to inspect equipment and verify it is in working order
• On-site coverage required during weekend production schedules as needed
• Must be capable of conducting walking tours throughout facilities for safety and operational assessments
• Work environment includes both indoor facility spaces and outdoor grounds areas
• Must be available for extended hours to provide managerial coverage as required

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience supporting real estate or facilities services
• 3-5 years of sourcing and contract management experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with building occupants, staff, and vendors
• Excellent PC skills with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proven ability to lead teams in a decentralized environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong analytical ability with demonstrated problem-solving skills for operational issues
• Ability to ensure discipline, proper attire, and etiquette standards in subordinate staff

Preferred Qualifications:

• Seven or more years of experience in sourcing and contract management
• Experience managing housekeeping operations including inspections, supply ordering, and out-of-scope projects
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility management and ability to implement them effectively
• Experience conducting training programs on a regular basis for facility and housekeeping staff
• Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain inventory systems and prepare operational reports
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in vendor management and resolution of service-related issues
• Ability to recommend changes that improve services and increase operational efficiency through financial analysis and budget management
