Job Summary
At ConocoPhillips the Lower 48 segment consists of operations located in the 48 contiguous U.S. states, with a portfolio mainly consisting of low cost of supply, short cycle time, resource-rich unconventional plays and commercial operations. The majority of our acreage is unconventional. Based on 2025 production volumes, the Lower 48 is our largest segment and contributed 67 percent of our consolidated liquids production and 74 percent of our consolidated natural gas production.In 2025, net production averaged 1,484 MBOED.
Position Overview
The Operations Engineering Analyst turns complex operational data into clear insights that improve safety, reliability, and performance across Permian Production Operations. In practice, that means finding the data, building and maintaining the dashboards, visualizations, analytics tools, and applications leaders rely on, and adapting quickly as systems, priorities, and questions change. We welcome candidates with strong data analytics experience from any industry.

Your responsibilities may include:
Operational Insight
Retrieve data directly from source systems and the data warehouse, including writing and tuning your own queries
Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to track production, downtime, efficiency, and operational trends
Translate data findings into clear insights that support day-to-day and long-term operational decisions
Quality & Integration
Improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability across operational datasets
Support smooth data flow between systems, field data capture platforms, and internal reporting tools
Collaboration & Support
Partner with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Supply Chain, IT, and field teams to understand needs and deliver practical solutions
Help strengthen digital workflows and analytics capabilities across the organization
Support rollout processes for tools and dashboards, including education and support of end users
Help with the administration of key applications, systems, and dashboards
Continuous Improvement
Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities that enhance operational performance
Support projects focused on data integration, workflow improvements, and analytics modernization
Continuously adapt to the ever-changing AI landscape and leverage AI tools to enhance the support provided to the organization

Basic Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Experience integrating data from at least two source systems into a single dataset for reporting, analysis, or operational decision-making purposes
Experience performing data preparation activities including data joins, cleansing, validation, or transformation prior to creating reports or dashboards
Experience working with large datasets or operational systems, including analyzing, querying, validating, or reporting on business or operational data
Experience using AI tools to support analytical work, including at least one of the following:
Query or code generation
Query or code troubleshooting
Data summarization
Documentation generation
Process automation
Demonstrated ability to independently build and maintain dashboards, including:
Connecting to data sources
Creating data models or relationships
Developing calculations, measures, or business logic
Publishing and maintaining dashboards for end users
Experience using at least one business intelligence or data visualization platform, such as Power BI (preferred), Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software, systems, reporting tools, or business processes with limited direction
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience building solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Fabric, Power Apps, Power Automate).
Experience using SQL, Python, or similar languages to query and manipulate data.
Experience accessing data through Snowflake or other enterprise data warehousing solutions.
Experience improving data workflows, automating processes, or supporting data-driven initiatives.
Experience communicating analytical findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting or analytical solutions.
Understanding of HSE, engineering, maintenance, or field operations concepts.
