Recognised with the 2025 MAIB Community Safety Award, Street Team volunteers help keep people safe, supported and connected every weekend.
What you’ll do:
- Assist people experiencing mental health crises or vulnerability
- Assist people experiencing effects of intoxication and overdose
- Provide practical support including First Aid
- Work proactively to promote safe partying
- Help people access safe transport home
Role Details:
- Volunteer on Saturday nights
- Located in Launceston CBD
- Shift times approx. 10:30pm-3:00am
- Volunteer as often as suits you
- Training and ongoing support provided
Requirements:
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
- Excellent Communication skills
- Open-minded and a desire to learn
- Work well within a small team
- Aged 18+
Prior training and experience in first aid, mental health first aid, community services, etc. is desirable, but not essential.
