Assist with planning, researching, and purchasing commodities, keeping suppliers informed of specific needs on behalf of the Company. Work closely with receiving department personnel to assure timely delivery of materials, and follow policies and procedures as deemed appropriate for each situation.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement and execute procurement processes that ensures MRO goods and services are delivered timely, accurately, cost effectively and professionally.
- Responsible for supplier relationship, performance management and reporting.
- Validates purchase requisitions, develops and solicits bids, analyzes and evaluates responses, negotiates prices and other terms, monitors delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to monitor and manage associated budgets.
- Coordinates competitive and sole source procurements to meet required purchase dates and prepares required support documentation.
- Reviews and analyzes suppliers’ bids.
- Follows up, expedites, and negotiates changes relative to delivery and supplier performance.
- Utilizes MS Office Suite, JobBoss and other applications.
- Utilizes communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Interacts with project personnel and program management and maintains professional relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Associates’ degree and three to five years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
