Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Support in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, corridors, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe public areas for unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and potential policy violations, following established reporting procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly transit environment by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating professionally with members of the public and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
