Description
Markon is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to support an Intelligence Community customer by providing senior-level electrical expertise for facility operations, maintenance, repair, and construction projects. This role provides technical oversight of complex electrical systems, including high-voltage power, while supporting design reviews, project execution, cost estimating, and contractor performance. The Master Electrician will coordinate with trade shops, engineers, contractors, and Government stakeholders to ensure electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and aligned with mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise, design reviews, and oversight for electrical operations, maintenance, repairs, and construction activities.
- Oversee and coordinate electrical trade activities, including work prioritization, project reviews, equipment inspections, and contractor performance.
- Support project planning and execution, including design reviews, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, change requests, and status reporting.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, equipment, and installed systems and provide recommendations to resolve technical issues.
- Develop technical documentation, cost estimates, reports, and recommendations and support the CO/COTR throughout acquisition and construction activities.
- Coordinate electrical infrastructure with HVAC, plumbing, security, IT, telecommunications, and other facility systems.
- Maintain accurate project and work-order documentation in MAXIMO and support project closeout requirements.
- Provide after-hours technical support for electrical and facility emergencies as required.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI FSP required
- Master Tradesman/Master Electrician credential in the electrical field.
- 20+ years of professional experience in the electrical trade.
- 10+ years of specialized electrical experience, including high-voltage power or other complex facility electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction practices.
- Experience reviewing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Experience overseeing electrical work, contractors, and trade personnel within active facility environments.
- Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Ability to develop cost estimates, technical recommendations, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community, federal, or other secure facilities.
- Experience with high-voltage power distribution and mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
- Experience supporting facility renovation, recapitalization, and construction projects.
- Familiarity with MAXIMO or comparable facility management software.
- Experience supporting Government acquisition and construction contract activities.
- Experience with energy management, utility analysis, emergency power, or critical facility systems.
Salary Range
USD $125,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
