Purpose of the job:
• To support the team in development of the FI portfolio for GCIB Hong Kong
• To assist RM in building and maintaining client relationships, including business origination and end-to-end transaction execution
• Support RMs and the department in ensuring relevant reporting and management information are updated within stipulated timeline.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic
• Anticipate trends in industry/products as well as competitors and promptly take necessary actions
• Supports client planning activities and industry analysis to support team’s strategies
• Conduct industry and market research for clients to proactively monitor the performance and credit status of customers.
Financial
• Be conscious of contributing to profit of not only the Bank, but also of members under MUFG
• Understanding of returns framework for MUFG and supports RM in continuous improvement of RoE for clients (such as other cross-selling activities etc)
Customer
• Identify customer needs and proactively solve customer’s concern
• Have ability for analysis and explanation corresponding to customer needs
• Establish relationship with customers
• Efficiently arrange meetings with customers and share key talking points with team members in a timely and
accurate manner
• Collaborate with wider MUFG teams to provide expertise and value to clients
People
• Possess expected knowledge by making efforts on self-development both internally and externally through
various trainings and e-learning programs
• Proactively share knowledge and experience to junior level colleagues
• Proactively handle various tasks and efficiently cooperate with team members
Other/ Control
• Understand credit policy of sectors in charge
• Liaise with Credit Management team on credit processes
• Possess a wide range of products and industry knowledge
• Optimize use of internal systems (CHUB, GCRM, and etc.) and external resources (S&P, and etc.)
• Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner
• Supervise AN's work and be responsible for its accuracy (if applicable)
• Perform appropriate time management as a team and demonstrate multitasking capability
• Contribute to an open work environment and cooperate with team members
• Play a role in internal community (e.g. diversity, training, contribution to organization etc.)
• Embrace MUFG Way and exhibit professionalism
• Understand and follow MUFG’s Code of Conduct
Qualification & Experience:
• University Degree (preferably with business studies)
• At least 3 years institutional banking experience
• Strong client facing and relationship management experience, with solid FI/NBFI understanding and bank product knowledge.
• Good time management, and organizational skills.
• Team player and able to work under pressure and independently.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Detail oriented.
