Field Officer (South Luzon)
Position Summary:
The Field Officer is responsible for executing daily field activities, including product demonstrations, farmer visits, field meetings, and move-out sales activities with consistency, efficiency, and professionalism. The role supports the implementation of FMC's commercial and marketing programs at the field level by promoting products, building relationships with retailers and farmers, and ensuring effective product positioning within the assigned territory.
The Field Officer leverages technical knowledge of FMC products and crop solutions to support customer education, facilitate product adoption, and provide timely market intelligence. Acting as a key connection between FMC and its customers, the Field Officer plays an important role in translating commercial strategies into effective field execution while upholding FMC's values of customer-centricity, sustainability, respect for people, safety, integrity, and agility.
Location: South Luzon, Occidental Mindoro
The Role:
1. Execute Key Field Activities
Execute product demonstrations, retailer visits, farmer engagements, and other field activities with consistency, professionalism, and effectiveness. Ensure every interaction enhances product awareness, strengthens FMC's brand reputation, and supports achievement of commercial objectives.
2. Implement Demand Creation Initiatives
Support and execute field-based demand generation programs and marketing activities within the assigned territory. Provide technical support and field insights to optimize program effectiveness and ensure alignment with crop cycles and customer needs.
3. Monitor Market Dynamics
Monitor competitor activities, including product launches, promotions, pricing strategies, and market initiatives. Collect, analyze, and report field intelligence to support business planning, market development, and competitive response strategies.
4. Report Key Field Indicators
Provide timely and accurate reports to the Business Manager or Area Sales Manager on Move-Out Sales (MOS), crop development stages, farmer practices, market conditions, and territory challenges. Deliver actionable insights to support informed business decisions and effective territory management.
5. Bridge Field and Commercial Teams
Serve as a communication link between customers and FMC's commercial teams by providing regular feedback on product performance, customer requirements, technical concerns, and market opportunities. Support continuous improvement of commercial and field strategies through effective information sharing.
6. Drive Retailer and Key Farmer Engagement
Implement retailer and farmer engagement programs to strengthen relationships, increase product adoption, and support sales growth. Ensure consistent product messaging, strong product visibility, and confidence in FMC's value proposition among channel partners and end users.
7. Ensure Accurate Product Positioning
Promote correct product usage, benefits, and differentiation to retailers, distributors, and farmers. Support technical training, product education, and stewardship activities to ensure technical accuracy, customer confidence, and brand integrity.
8. Support Move-Out Sales and Inventory Management
Support initiatives to increase product movement and reduce inventory levels across distributors and retailers. Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for increased product uptake and improved channel inventory management.
9. Maintain Customer and Territory Information
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, field activities, product demonstrations, and market information. Ensure timely submission of reports and territory updates in accordance with company requirements.
10. Ensure Compliance and Stewardship
Conduct all activities in compliance with FMC policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices. Promote responsible product use and reinforce FMC's commitment to stewardship, integrity, and sustainability.
The Candidate:
Education
Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Background
1-3 years of experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, field extension, technical support, or related roles.
Fresh graduates with strong agricultural knowledge may also be considered.
Experience working directly with farmers, retailers, and distributors is an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
Basic knowledge of crop protection products and crop management practices.
Good understanding of agricultural markets and farming communities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Basic analytical and problem-solving capability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Must possess a valid driver’s license, as the role involves frequent travel to farms, retail outlets, and dealer networks across assigned territory.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Able to work Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
