Description

We're currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker I to join the City of Lincoln's Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) Team. In this role, you'll perform and assist with a wide range of building maintenance and repair tasks across city buildings, landscaped areas, pedestrian bridges, and more.
What You'll Do:
Building & Equipment Maintenance
- Preventative building maintenance including HVAC filters, exhaust fans, garage doors and cooling towers
- Communicate with tenants to identify and troubleshoot maintenance requests
- Paint and use power tools
- Perform custodial duties to include cleaning public restrooms and meeting rooms.
Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
- Repair fences and parking lot maintenance
- Maintain gutters, down spouts and storm water area inlet cleaning
- Snow removal and Weed spraying
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent plus six months of experience in a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction activities in any one or more of the craft disciplines including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical repair and related disciplines; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Necessary Special Requirement
Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
