GFL Environmental is actively seeking a Cube Van Driver to join our dedicated Organics team in Calgary, AB!

Requirements:
Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
Equipment Operation: Demonstrated ability to safely operate commercial collection vehicles and equipment.
Safety Commitment: Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive operational roles.
Reliability: Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.
Responsibilities:
Safe Fleet Operation: Safely operate a collection truck along assigned routes.
Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork.
Collection: Daily route consists of driving to customer sites (which can be remote), securing bin on truck, emptying bin and returning bin to customer site.
System Operations: Skillfully operate systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage.
Reporting & Maintenance: Promptly report any mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management. Perform driver check-ins at days end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
Service Quality: Maintain high route productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness. Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Supervisors and Dispatch to support smooth, efficient daily operations.
Additional Duties: Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
