Hourly Pay: $25.96/hr
Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for early mornings and weekend shifts
Shift: 4:30 am - 11:00 am, Weekends and Holidays

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at the Hampton Roads Methadone Clinic in Newport News, Virginia. This part-time position offers the opportunity to provide nursing care that supports adults on their recovery journey from opioid use disorder while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
- Current Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- One (1) year of experience in the administration of medication or in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting or long term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
What You'll Do
As a Psychiatric Nurse (LPN), you will play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care to clients receiving medication-assisted treatment.
Responsibilities include:
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and program protocols.
- Monitor clients for medication effectiveness, side effects, and withdrawal symptoms.
- Complete nursing assessments and document clinical observations accurately.
- Assist the psychiatrist and treatment team with medication management and client care.
- Provide health education and supportive nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with counselors, providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medication records and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations governing opioid treatment services.
